Fall Festival at the Malted Meeple!

08/28/2018

Editor’s Note: Anyone that knows me knows that Fall is my favorite time of the year. The colors, the holidays, the evenings outside by the fire, and of course the seasonal beers! Now that we’re in our new location, I’m thrilled that we finally have the space, and the tap capacity, to do Fall up right. I hope during the next two months you find time to join us for our first ever Fall Festival! – Jim

We are excited to announce the Malted Meeple’s Fall Festival, which will run from September 1 through October 31 and features some pretty cool events!

Bring on the Beer!

What would a true celebration of Autumn be without a nod to the great tradition of Oktoberfest? We are swapping out one full kegerator (that’s EIGHT taps!) for seasonal brews – beers and ciders – that will cycle throughout the season.

Check with your server on availability as we change out our taps to offer Rogue Dead on Dead, Thirsty Dog Barktoberfest, Ace’s Pear Cider, and Southern Tier’s Warlock, among others. We also have seasonal craft brews such as Market Garden Old Zahm, Revolution Oktoberfest, Ace Pumpkin, and New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Atomic in bottles and cans.

Mmmm…Seasonal Milkshakes

We’ve brought back some of our favorite seasonal flavors for a limited time on our milkshake menu. Try The Pumpkin King (pumpkin pie), Nutferatu (butter pecan), Blood of an Englishman (English toffee), or S’mores shakes before they’re gone!

Professor Meeple’s Game Lab is Back!

Come in on the evening of September 6 to join us for a new Professor Meeple’s Game Lab session with local designer Robert Cahill. Build your dynasty by guiding multiple generations of your family through the American landscape, establishing economic legacy and claiming government offices in a bid to become the most influential family in An American Century.

Rogue “Dead’N’Dead” Event

Can’t get enough of the seasonal beers? Be sure to stop by on September 21 for a special brewery event with Rogue, featuring their Dead’N’Dead blend of Dead Guy Ale aged in Dead Guy Whiskey barrels. This multi-month ageing process adds hints of oak and whiskey to the robust malt and hop profiles of their original Dead Guy Ale. A representative from Rogue will be on hand to talk about their process and celebrate the season with us!

Who You Gonna Call… Ghostbusters!

Kick off the count down to Halloween with our special Ghostbusters event on Friday, October 5. Local gamers and Ghostbuster enthusiasts Lisa Ford, Alex Ford, and Stephen Manchir will be running Ghostbusters Trivia, Ghostbusters RPG, and their very own home-grown Ghostbusters Miniatures game! Get up close and personal with a life-size Ecto-1, an inflatable Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, and Viggo the Carpathian. The Shakebusters shake will also make a special appearance, with 50% of the proceeds going to Extra Life charities!

Don’t Forget the Gaming!

Check out our rotating list of weekly events to get in on a game of Meeples vs. Zombies (Zombicide), a one-shot Werewolf RPG (September 14 at 7pm), and other sessions we’ll be adding as we go. And you can always choose your favorite tabletop game from our library as a treat any night of the week.

We hope to see you throughout the season as you celebrate Fall Festival with us!
