Here at The Malted Meeple, we believe that the only thing more important than providing people a great place and a great way to spend quality time with friends and family, is doing so in a socially conscious manner. To that end, we recently announced Meeple Cares, an umbrella for our support of several great charities.
We are now thrilled to announce our first Meeple Cares event, the Meeple Cares Marathon, Saturday October 3rd! The marathon will support Extra Life and raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Created in 2008, Extra Life has up until now primarily been made up of video gamers, who engage in marathon fundraising gaming sessions. This year, Extra Life officially recognizes that board gamers are just as charitable, and has launched the TableTop Appreciation Weekend, October 2nd to 4th. How can we not get behind that?
So on Saturday, October 3rd, join us for the Meeple Cares Marathon. We will be playing both board and role playing games from noon to 2 AM. In addition to all of our usual games, the marathon will include a 12 hour, live webcast Dungeons & Dragons session, featuring the newly released Rage of Demons campaign!
Stop in this Saturday and celebrate Extra Life’s TableTop Appreciation Weekend with us. Make an onsite donation to Extra Life of $10 or more and we will waive your table fee!
Better yet, join us at one of our two spotlight tables and take part in the marathon Dungeons & Dragons session! Each spotlight seat requires a $20 donation to Extra Life. To raise even more funds for Extra Life, Jim and Pam will be personally matching those donations – by purchasing one of these awesome Extra Life Dungeons & Dragons Team shirts for everyone seated at the spotlight tables!
So sign up for a spotlight seat. You get twelve hours of great Dungeons & Dragons gaming, plus a cool t-shirt, and you raise $40 for children’s hospitals! Space is extremely limited, call us at 330.655.6919 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot today.
Join us for the Meeple Cares Marathon, and help raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
You can also register for Extra Life and join The Malted Meeple Team to help us raise money throughout the year!
* All members of the spotlight tables consent to being on camera for our live webcast.
** Team shirts will be ordered at the event and delivered approximately approximately 14 business days after.
