October Milkshake Madness

10/1/2015

You’ve heard of beer tastings, but have you ever heard of a Milkshake Tasting? We have! Here at Northeast Ohio’s first board game cafe we host a month long milkshake tasting every month – we call it Milkshake Madness!

Every month we here at The Malted Meeple create three new experimental milkshake flavors. These flavors are usually connected in some way, creating a milkshake theme for the month. Every Sunday (and during the week if you ask nicely!) we offer a flight of these themed milkshakes to our guests, who then get to vote on their favorite. At the end of the month, one lucky shake becomes the next month’s Milkshake of the Month, while the others are retired in disgrace.

September’s Milkshake Madness theme was Employee’s Choice. We gave Pam a break from the milkshake creation process, and challenged our staff of Game Masters to create their own flavors. This was another close race, and nearly ended in a three way tie! Personally, I suspect ballot box stuffing… In the end though, Karington’s Chocolate Covered Salted Caramel edged out Spencer’s Chocolate Apple Pie and Kim’s Peanut Butter & Jelly shake to become the Milkshake of the Month for October!

Appropriately for this time of year, October’s Milkshake Madness theme is Harvest. Join us throughout the month and test out our three Harvest shakes: Pumpkin Pie, Apple Cider and Blueberry Cobbler!

Be sure to vote for your favorite shake and help us choose October’s Milkshake of the Month!
