You’ve heard of beer tastings, but have you ever heard of a Milkshake Tasting? We have! We host a month long milkshake tasting every month – we call it Milkshake Madness!

Every month we here at The Malted Meeple create three new experimental milkshake flavors. These flavors are usually connected in some way, creating a milkshake theme for the month. Every Sunday (and sometimes during the week as well!) we offer a flight of these themed milkshakes to our guests, who then get to vote on their favorite. At the end of the month, one lucky shake becomes the next month’s Milkshake of the Month, while the others are retired in disgrace. After all, there can be only one….

July’s Milkshake Madness theme has been candy flavored shakes, and featured Peanut Butter Cup, Butterfinger and Cotton Candy shakes. It was a tight race, with Peanut Butter Cup and Cotton Candy neck and neck all month long. In a photo finish, Peanut Butter Cup pulled out the win and will be returning as August’s Milkshake of the Month! Cotton Candy had a respectable showing, and will likely return at some point in the future. Butterfinger, on the other hand, is joining disgraced former shake flavors out behind the woodshed.

With the completion of one Milkshake Madness, we immediately launch into another. August’s theme is cake, and brings us a trio of delicious cake flavored shakes. Join us throughout the month and test out Birthday Cake, Red Velvet, and my personal favorite – Brownie. If the reactions of our initial testers are any indication, this is shaping up to be another tight race!
