The Malted Meeple is excited to announce its inaugural Star Wars Day “May the Fourth Be With You” celebration! The celebration event will take place on Sunday, May 3 and Monday, May 4, and special Star Wars activities will continue throughout the month of May.
On Sunday there will be a Star Wars costume contest where the winner will receive an Individual Membership to The Malted Meeple (good for one year and valued at $100). Anyone dressed in a Star Wars costume is eligible to enter the drawing. The costume contest is only on Sunday, with the drawing to be held at 4 p.m. Winners must be present to collect their prize. Anyone who comes to the Malted Meeple on Sunday or Monday in a Star Wars costume will also receive $1 off a handcrafted milkshake.
On both Sunday and Monday, an official Stormtrooper from the 501st Legion: Vader’s Fist, a Sith and several Mandalorian Mercenaries will be at the Malted Meeple. Loyal citizens of the Empire – and brave Rebels – will be able to take pictures with the Imperial representatives.
There will also be several Star Wars themed hobby games to play, and five featured out of this world milkshake flavors:
- Dagobah Swamp – a mint chocolate chip milkshake with lots of chocolate
- Dagobah Draft – a Dagobah Swamp, imbued with Edmund Fitzgerald beer
- Hoth Heater – a vanilla and cinnamon milkshake
- Tattooine Twist – an orange milkshake, with a twist!
- Bantha Milk Shake – a blue-colored vanilla milkshake
The Star Wars celebration doesn’t stop after Star Wars Day is over. Events will continue throughout the month of May, including sessions of the Star Wars role-playing game Edge of the Empire, beginning on May 7. Every Tuesday in May will also feature a Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures tournament. Everyone can also vote on his or her favorite Star Wars flavor in May’s Milkshake Madness competition, to decide which will be our Milkshake of the Month for June.
