Brewery Spotlight – Rogue Ales

09/11/2018

One of our favorite breweries is back in our spotlight – Rogue Ales out of Newport, Oregon. Rogue’s Dead Guy Ale has become a staple on tap at The Malted Meeple, inspiring its own milkshake, the Frozen Dead Guy. We are proud to have been named a Rogue Nation Ambassador Bar!

Rogue Ales & Spirits has grown substantially in its almost 30 year history to provide some of the highest quality ales around in revolutionary flavors. Combat Wombat, a sour northeast-style IPA with blood orange and grapefruit, is a perennial favorite, and their classic assortment of IPAs keep them experimenting with new hops and flavor blends.

From Double Chocolate Stout to Paradise Pucker, and from the seasonal Pumpkin Patch Ale to the cheekily-named Yellow Snow Pilsner, Rogue is not afraid to push the boundaries of brewing and turn expectations on their head. They have even expanded to include a spirits distillery, blending ingredients grown on their own farms to make several gins and whiskeys.

We are featuring their seasonal Dead’N’Dead as part of our Fall Festival tap takeover. Dead’N’Dead is aged in Dead Guy Whiskey barrels, which impart additional oak and whiskey flavors while enhancing the robust malt and hop profiles of original Dead Guy Ale.

Be sure to join us on September 21 when brewery representative Seth Bunton will be stopping by for a special brewery event as part of our Fall Festival!
