You’ve heard of beer tastings, but have you ever heard of a Milkshake Tasting? We have! Here at Northeast Ohio’s first board game cafe we host a month long milkshake tasting every month – we call it Milkshake Madness!

Every month we here at The Malted Meeple create three new experimental milkshake flavors. Every Sunday (and during the week if you ask nicely!) we offer a flight of these themed milkshakes to our guests, who then get to vote on their favorite. At the end of the month, one shake emerges victorious as the next month’s Milkshake of the Month, while the others are retired in disgrace.

February’s Valentine’s Day themed Milkshake Madness flavors were Milk Chocolate Orange, White Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Raspberry. The votes have been counted, and in what is clearly a triumph of all things good and holy, Dark Chocolate Raspberry has been proclaimed the winner and March’s Milkshake of the Month! It will take its rightful place on the milkshake line of the 2016 Meeple Madness Challenge!

Some months require a bit of creativity when coming up with a milkshake theme. Other months just lend themselves to one. As we head towards St. Patrick’s Day, the March milkshake theme jumped right out at us. What theme could we possibly tackle other than a celebration of all things Irish? Stop in throughout the month and check out the new Irish Green, Irish Orange and Pot of Gold shakes.
