November Milkshake Madness

10/29/2015

You’ve heard of beer tastings, but have you ever heard of a Milkshake Tasting? We have! Here at Northeast Ohio’s first board game cafe we host a month long milkshake tasting every month – we call it Milkshake Madness!

Every month we here at The Malted Meeple create three new experimental milkshake flavors, typically connected in a unifying milkshake theme for the month. Every Sunday (and during the week if you ask nicely!) we offer a flight of these themed milkshakes to our guests, who then get to vote on their favorite. At the end of the month, one lucky shake becomes the next month’s Milkshake of the Month, while the others are retired in disgrace.

October’s Milkshake Madness competition was Harvest themed. Unlike the last few nail-biting races, this month Pumpkin Pie took an early lead and never let up, securing the Milkshake of the Month spot for November. The unusual Apple Cider shake – made with cider instead of milk – turned in a respectable second place performance and will likely return next year. Blueberry Cobbler on the other hand, well, not so much…

We are extremely excited to announce the next trio of shakes. November marks our second month long celebration of Star Wars, and we have created a second trilogy of shakes which will join the Dagobah Swamp, Tattoine Twist and Hoth Heater in our special Star Wars lineup. Stop in all through November and try out the Emerald Ewok, the Coconut Hutt, and the Tuskan Terror! Be careful with that last one though, like any good raider it sneaks up on you and packs quite a wallop!

Be sure to vote for your favorite shake and help us choose the winner from this Star Wars themed trilogy!
