October Publisher’s Spotlight – Tuesday Knight Games

10/15/2015

One of the things we like to do here at the Malted Meeple is give some extra attention to our favorite board game publishers and designers. In our monthly Publisher’s Spotlight we provide a bit of a background on the publisher, discuss a few of their games, and may even announce a visit to The Meeple by some of the publisher’s representatives!

The Malted Meeple is thrilled to announce our October Publisher’s Spotlight: Tuesday Knight Games, creator of the popular Kickstarter game Two Rooms and a Boom!

Tuesday Knight Games started as just two friends hanging out. Alan Gerding and Sean McCoy met at a gaming convention, and in their own words, had an instant bro-mance. They decided to quit their jobs to start a tabletop company together. Why the name “Tuesday Knight Games?” For almost two decades, Alan Gerding has thrown a game night every Tuesday evening. It just seemed appropriate that that tradition should be referenced in the name of the company!

Tuesday Knight Games’ first title, co-designed by the two friends, is the wildly popular Two Rooms and a Boom. Two Rooms and a Boom is a social deduction game where players form two teams with very different goals. One team is trying to protect a person of interest. The other team is intent on assassinating that person of interest. The game plays very quickly with members of both teams trying to figure out who is who. Two Rooms and a Boom! will host up to 30 players and offers a variety of roles that keep the game interesting.

But Gerding and McCoy aren’t resting on their laurels. Now that Two Rooms and a Boom has been released, they are preparing to launch a Kickstarter for their second game at the end of 2015, World Championship Russian Roulette.

You can find Tuesday Knight Games at www.TuesdayKnightGames.com, on Facebook, and on Twitter. Check out their podcasts, free print-and-play games, and more.

If you are looking to get away for a weekend of fun with Tuesday Knight Games, check out Ravenwood Castle’s event: The Mad Professor’s Unforgettable Hallow-Wicked-Weekend of Monstrous Experiments – hosted by Alan Gerding of Tuesday Knight Games.

Or for something a little closer to home, Gerding will be visiting The Malted Meeple throughout the month and playing Two Rooms and a Boom and a few other great games with guests. Stay tuned for details and dates!
