One of the things we like to do here at the Malted Meeple is give some extra attention to our favorite board game publishers and designers. In our monthly Publisher’s Spotlight we provide a bit of a background on the publisher, discuss a few of their games, and may even announce a visit to The Meeple by some of the publisher’s representatives!
The Malted Meeple is thrilled to announce our July Publisher’s Spotlight: Greater Than Games!
Founded in January 2011 by Christopher Badell, Adam Rebottaro, and Paul Bender, St. Louis based Greater Than Games is driven by a mission: to take the games that they have always wanted to play and make them a reality.
In early 2015 Greater Than Games merged with Dice Hate Me Games, bringing together the combined powers of two great publishers to maximize the awesomeness of the games they create.
Greater Than Games’ current roster of games includes titles such as Sentinels of the Multiverse, Sentinel Tactics, Galactic Strike Force and the soon to be released Spirit Island.
They are without a doubt best known for the wildly popular Sentinels of the Multiverse, a cooperative game where players take on the roles of superheroes trying to save the world. Released at GenCon 2011, Sentinels quickly took the world by storm. Since its release, the game has received several expansions, and has spawned a universe in which several other Greater Than Games have been placed.
Our sister company Ravenwood Castle is proud to host Chris Badell as the Guest of Honor at Con in the Castle 2015. In addition to demos of Sentinels of the Multiverse and a variety of Greater Than Games’ prototypes, Con guests will be treated to the debut of the newest expansion to the Sentinels universe: Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Roleplaying Game. We look forward to our first foray into the Sentinels roleplaying world!
The next time you stop into the Malted Meeple, be sure to give Sentinels a spin. Do you have what it takes to save the Multiverse?
