It can be hard to wait for your game group to be able to safely meet again, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get out of the house and enjoy some games on your own! The Malted Meeple has a wide variety of games that make you number one.  Whether you like brain-burning puzzles, games of mystery and madness, or races against the clock, you’ll find something to satisfy you here. No more worrying about someone else taking too long or blocking your move – your only enemy is yourself (and whatever devious foes the game sets against you).

Here’s just a few of the solo-friendly titles you might attempt to vanquish:

Escape: The Curse of the Temple is a perfect solo game for anybody thirsting for adventure. Frantically roll dice, hoping for the right combos as you uncover mysterious room tiles and hunt for treasure. Just be sure to get out of the temple before it’s too late! This fun game plays in real-time and even has a few online soundtracks you can use as your timer for the ultimate atmospheric experience.

Welcome To… is a fun little test of architectural know-how! In it, you strive to complete the ultimate subdivision, full of swimming pools, parks, and perfectly fenced-off estates. Each turn, you flip over cards that allow you to build houses and unlock different high-scoring abilities. The more cleverly you build your neighborhood, the higher you’ll score! Our tip? Focus on the pools, they’re a huge points-getter.

Sagrada is a visually stunning game with a great solo challenge. As you work to fill in your stained-glass window with the perfect mix of colorful dice, you’ll be fighting to have a better score then the total of the dice left behind. It’s a fantastically difficult puzzle to solve, and one that will have you wanting to try just one more time! This has been a popular choice for solo gamers at The Malted Meeple recently.

Those are just a few of the great single-player board games we have in our library. You can also test your solo skills on games like Eldritch Horror, Tiny Epic Quest, Dinosaur Island, Castle Panic, or Wordoku! Who needs player two? Not you!

So, what are you waiting for? Settle in with a flight of beers or milkshakes, grab a bowl of our brand-new mac and cheese, and try your hand at some of these awesome games. With over 35 solo-friendly titles to choose from, you’ll have enough options to fill your own personal game night. Don’t let cabin fever get the best of you – come in and play today!
