RPG Update: Strahd, Homebrew & More!

09/6/2016

In the GM’s Journal we will discuss all things role playing. From tips for running a successful table to reviews of various systems, you’ll find it here.

Tiamat: The Final Confrontation

This past week, several of our guests finished what can only be described as a legendary campaign. This particular campaign has been running since the very first days of The Malted Meeple. Our intrepid heroes took the fight to Tiamat, the Queen of Dragons herself. The outcome, like the entirety of the campaign, can only be described as legendary! Some groups emerged victorious by preventing Tiamat’s return to the world, while other heroes were devoured by the Dragon Queen!

Whatever the ultimate result, the journey was a blast, and we would like to thank our guests for the fun and memorable moments during Horde of the Dragon Queen and Rise of Tiamat!

The Curse of Strahd

As one campaign comes to a close, another is just beginning. While you can join one of our campaigns at any time, now is a particularly good time to get in on the action. We have tables starting new campaigns imminently. In fact, we are pleased to announce that this week we will be launching the Curse of Strahd!

For those who are unfamiliar, Curse of Strahd is a retelling of the 1983 classic: Ravenloft, written by Tracy and Laura Hickman. In this gothic horror setting, players must rely on their wit, will, and no small amount of luck to survive the wrath of Count Strahd von Zarovich. The timing of this release is no accident; Fall is here, and Halloween is fast approaching. Strahd is mysterious, dark, and full of terror – perfect for this time of year.

Will you escape the cursed land of Barovia or will you be the latest victim of the vampire lord? The master of Ravenloft is visiting The Malted Meeple, and you are invited.

Our continuing mission: Explore strange new worlds

To boldly go where no Meeple has gone before – Homebrew RPG Night!

The Malted Meeple has become Northeast Ohio’s roleplaying hotspot. We are the place to be if you are a serious role-player, new to roleplaying, or anywhere in between. As part of our continuing promise to be the premier roleplaying destination, we are pleased to announce our latest addition to our roleplaying line up: Homebrew RPG Night every Thursday!

We have a soft spot in our heart of hearts for all of our fellow Game Masters out there. We know how much work it takes to pull off great gaming sessions. Your players may not always thank you, but we will! So join us Thursday evenings for Homebrew RPG night. Lead your group to the Meeple and run your campaign in comfort. We will waive the table fee for any GM running an active role playing session, and will provide a free non-alcoholic drink as an extra thank you!

We’ll sling the drinks; you sling the dice!

See you at the Table!
