February Milkshake Madness

01/28/2016

You’ve heard of beer tastings, but have you ever heard of a Milkshake Tasting? We have! Here at Northeast Ohio’s first board game cafe we host a month long milkshake tasting every month – we call it Milkshake Madness!

Every month we at The Malted Meeple create three new milkshake flavors, typically related by a unifying milkshake theme for the month. Every Sunday (and during the week if you ask nicely!) we offer a flight of these themed milkshakes to our guests, who then vote on their favorite. At the end of the month, one lucky shake becomes the next month’s Milkshake of the Month, while the others are retired in disgrace.

In honor of all the baked goods created during the holidays, January’s Milkshake Madness flavors were baking themed. We have counted the votes, though to be honest there wasn’t much counting required. The Butterscotch Cookie earned itself a pile of votes, and has earned the right to return as February’s Milkshake of the Month! The Oatmeal Cookie shake came in a fairly distant second, though with a respectable enough showing to earn an honorable retirement. The Blueberry Muffin shake on the other hand, upheld the growing tradition of Blueberry flavored shakes for coming in depressingly, overwhelmingly, absolutely dead last.

As we move into February, our thoughts turn to romance, Valentine’s Day, and of course – chocolate! Our February Milkshake Madness flavors are appropriately enough all chocolate based. Stop in throughout February and try out the Milk Chocolate Orange, Dark Chocolate Raspberry and White Chocolate shakes! Vote for your favorite and help us choose March’s Milkshake of the Month!

And if you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for the 2016 Meeple Madness Challenge. The challenge board will be updated shortly with February’s newly anointed Milkshake of the Month!
